FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ULTRA MODERN PUBLIC 24-SEATER WC AND 16-WASHROOMS COMPLEX
The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly is inviting Companies to express in The Construction of an Ultra-Modern Public 24-Seater WC and 16-Washrooms Complex.
SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT
• Construct an Ultra-Modern 24-Seater WC and 16-Washroom facility for the people of Mallam under a BOT agreement with WGMA.
INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND:
Mallam is a peri-urban community in the Weija Gbawe Municipal with a population of about 12,000 people. In addition, the community serves as a transit point with large taxi and bus stations for commuters from the south of Accra to the eastern and northern parts and vice versa. This offers a daily transit population of about 6000 people. These people will require the use of shared toilets for convenience. The Mallam community is characterized by an old town section of dense migrant population occupying low cost housing and unplanned and haphazard building structures with poor access to water and sanitation facilities. The other part of Mallam has developed into a commercial and planned residential district.
The assembly is willing to engage a private company under a competitive Private Public Partnership to offer business solution under BOT delivery that will ensure reconstruction and operation of the facility to solve the sanitation and environmental issues and also provide jobs and income to the inhabitants of the Mallam junction enclave. The venture will benefit about 12,000 inhabitants and transit population and also create economic benefits to Weija Gbawe Municipal Assembly.
OBJECTIVES
• To provide a safe and hygienic toilet facility for the residents of Mallam.
The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly now invites eligible companies to indicate their interest in the Construction of the above. Interested companies must provide information indicating that they are qualified to undertake the construction of the facility (brochures, description of similar assignments, and experience in undertaking similar assignments etc) Companies will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663), as amended, of the Republic of Ghana and shall meet the following criteria:
• Valid GRA Tax Clearance Certificate.
• Valid SSNIT Clearance Certificate.
• Valid VAT Registration Certificate (if applicable).
• Valid Business Registration Certificate
• Valid Certificate of Incorporation
• Valid Certificate of Commencement.
• Valid Works and Housing Certificate –(D2K2)
• Valid Labour Certificate
• Valid Registration Certificate from PPA
