- The Ministry of Health/ Ghana Health Service uses a comprehensive web-based Health Management Information System (HMIS) known as DHIMS2 for the reporting and analysis needs from health facilities to the national level in all 216 districts and 1078 sub districts in over 4000 facilities and 3000 CHPS zones. The DHIMS2 software is built on the DHIS2, a free open sourced software, platform. The DHIMS is being used by all the public health facilities and an increasing number of private health facilities.
The DHIMS2 e-tracker has been introduced to address the current challenges. It is an extension of the DHIMS 2 platform and supports management, data collection, and analysis of transactional or disaggregated data. It has been developed in response to demand for more transactional data at the facility level, sub district, district, regional and national level to promote further analysis.
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) is cognizant of the sensitive nature of the information in DHMS II and the eTrackerand the security required to protect the software and data, we also recognize the preference of hosting the software within GHS network or a government data centre. Currently GHS is seeking support to improve the current infrastructure at the Centre for Health Information Management (CHIM) Offices.
GHS is hereby seeking for Vitual Private Server (VPS) Hosting Service, Domain Name (DNS) and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate to Host eTracker for Maternal and Child Health Service, TB and HIV/AIDS ART Clients.
The Ghana Health Service now invites eligible Service Providers to indicate their interest in providing this service.
