The Government of the Republic of Ghana has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Ghana Energy Development and Access Project III, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The Electricity Company of Ghana Ltd (ECG) is responsible for electricity distribution in southern Ghana, where it currently serves about 2.95 million customers. The Company intends preparing a power distribution Master Plan to address the country’s power distribution requirements over the planning period 2017-2026. This is expected to guide investments in the ECG network in a timely and a much more coordinated manner.

The consulting services (“the Services”) include following key tasks;
Task 1: Review of Existing Data and Studies
Task 2: Detailed Network Studies
Task 3: Undertake Preparation of Budgetary Cost Estimates
Task 4: Undertake Economic and Financial Justification
Task 5: Formulation of Power Distribution Master Plan
Task 6: Training & Capacity Development

The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are:
• General and years of experience of the firm(s)
• Summary of similar consultancies of the firm(s)
• Availability of appropriate skills amongst staff
• Demonstrated capacities to handle such assignments
