- The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) is a statutory public Trust charged under the national Pensions Act 2008, Act 766 with the administration of Ghana’s Basic National Social Security Pension Scheme and to cater for the First Tier of the contributory three-tier scheme. The Trust is currently the largest non-bank financial institution in the country.
SSNIT intends to apply part of its budgetary allocation to payments under the contracts for the assessment of the financial status of the Trust and a review of the Trust’s operations and systems currently in use. These systems include Information Technology (IT) systems, Internal Control and Financial Management Systems and the Human Resources.
Interested Consulting Firms are in the position to provide the above services are being invited to express their interests in the project.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The scope of this assignment includes but not limited to the following:
i. Review the financial records of SSNIT over the period 1st January 2014-31st March 2017.
ii. Conduct an audit of the IT systems in use by the Trust.
iii. Assess the Internal Control and Financial Management systems to identify any weakness and make recommendations based on best practice.
Review the Human Resources function and comment on the adequacy of policies and systems for recruitment, training, performance management and compensation.
Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignment, experienced in similar conditions, available of software and appropriate skills among stuff, etc). Consultants may associates to enhance their qualification.
REQUIREMENTS
Interested Consultants should also provide the following as part of their Expression of interest.
1. Legal status of Firm.
2. Evidence of professional registration of the firm and key staff proposed for the assignment
3. Evidence of previous works executed in the last five years
4. Curriculum vitae (CV) of Technical and managerial stuff proposed for the assignment.
5. Local firms must possess valid SSNIT and GRA Clearance Certificates.
6. Any other relevant information.
