Description:
1. The Ghana Airports Company Limited intends to apply part of its Internally Generated Funds (IGF) to payments under the contract for Consultancy services for “Rehabilitation of Sunyani Airport”.

2. The services include architectural and engineering studies for the rehabilitation of and expansion of existing terminal building and airfield infrastructure at Sunyani Airport.

The scope of service includes the following:
i) Remodeling and design of existing terminal building.
ii) Design of the runway, link taxiway, passenger Apron and all associated ancillary facilities (pavement marking, provision for fuel mains, drainage system etc.)
iii) Extension of existing runway length to a minimum total length of 2000m and a maximum length of 2500m depending on the availability of right of way for runway alignment.
iv) Expansion of existing passenger apron to accommodate a total of two ATR-72 and one Boeing 737
v) Preparation of tender documents.
vi) Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Social Impact Assessment (SIA) associated with the project
vii) Construction supervision of works

3. The Ghana Airports Company Limited now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. For evaluation of the expressions of interest the following criteria among others will be applied:

i) Valid statutory documents and corporate citizenship – certificates of incorporation and registration and tax clearance certificates
ii) Average annual turnover of GHs300,000.00 per year over the last 5 years (2011-2016)
iii) General experience of firm in the airport as well as general commercial real estate and industrial development projects.
iv) Number of similar assignments by the firm in the last five years.
v) Firm’s experience in sub Saharan Africa.
vi) Availability and experience of relevant key personnel in similar assignments.
