- Selection Of A Consulting Firm For Redesign And Maintenance Of Food And Drug Authority’s Website.
The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has received funding from the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID), and intends to apply part of the proceeds under a contract for the redesign of the Food and Drugs Authority’s Website.
The Consulting services (“the Servicesâ€) is to reorganize and re-engineer the FDA website to take advantage of contemporary online technologies and to synchronize with FDA’s social media channels to create a contemporary seamless information communication platform to meet the aspirations of the FDA aimed at protecting public health and safety. This consultancy would also help strengthen the FDA to perform some levels of internal management of the website as well as all its associated appendages in the context modern technologies implemented. In executing its mandate as stipulated in the Public Health Act, 2012 (Act 851), the FDA exchanges a lot of information with its clients and consumers whose interest it serves on a wide range of areas. A well informed stakeholders enables the FDA to serve them better and ultimately protect public health and safety. In this regard, the FDA has had a website for over a decade serving its interest and those of its stakeholders. Since its creation, its structure and functionality has primarily remained the same. There is the need to modernize the FDA website to exploit advances in social media and other online technologies for an enhanced stakeholder experience; increased interaction and ease of use. In addition, there need to build internal capacity within the FDA to manage the FDA website, to optimise responsiveness to user requests and demands; and to ensure that routine content updates and content management tasks are performed by the trained FDA staff. The methodology shall include the development of corporate representation, website navigation and page structure. The overall duration of the assignment is expected to cover 12 months.
The Food and Drugs Authority now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultantsâ€) who have significant expertise to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information stated below demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services as stated below:
1. A statement of capability detailing a pertinent history of the firm, core competencies, size of firm, as well as that of your workforce, highlighting their education and technical experience as it relates to your firm.
2. The general experience and specific experience of the firm in relation to this assignment including Clientele the past customers for whom your firm has done similar work.
3. The availability of appropriate skills among staff to undertake the assignment
4. Evidence of official incorporation of firm as well as Valid Tax Clearance, VAT and SSNIT Certificates.
