- 1.0 MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT
Management and treatment of liquid waste/ faecal sludge generated Municipal-Wide.
1.1 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT
i To mitigate dumping of liquid waste/faecal matter into the sea/unapproved areas
ii. To get engineered area for the dumping of liquid waste.
iii. Reduce negative impact on the environment as a result of indiscriminate dislodging of liquid
waste.
iv. To generate composite fertilizer for farming activities.
v. To serve as income generation to the Assembly through patronage by other Districts.
2.0 SCOPE OF THE SERVICE
2.1. SCOPE OF THE SERVICE FOR THE FIRST STAGE
i. To advise the client on the appropriate design parameters and the area of land suitable and
Economical for the served population of the Municipality
ii. Conduct geo-technical investigations on the suitability of site
iii. Conduct Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the project
iv Make presentation of broad overview of the concept of a stabilization Pond
v. Submit a detailed design for the construction of a Stabilization Pond
2.2. SCOPE OF THE SERVICE FOR THE SECOND STAGE
i. Execution of civil works for the Construction of the Stabilization Ponds
iv. Give training to selected officers to manage the pond
3.0 TIME FRAME
Activities for the first stage of tendering process should be completed within Six weeks from date of commencement and the submission of a final report.
4.0 CLIENTS INPUTS
The Client will provide area to be assessed for the construction of Stabilization Pond
The Client will appoint designated Officers who would assist the Firm in carrying out the exercise.
The Client will also facilitate the organization of consultation meetings with Project Affected Persons and Stakeholders
