- The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Greater Accra Resilient and Integrated Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The Project will be implemented through four-interrelated Components, namely:
1. Climate Resilient Drainage and Flood Mitigating Activities;
2. Solid Waste Management Capacity Improvements;
3. Participatory Upgrading of Targeted Flood Prone Low Income Communities and Local Government Support; and
4. Project Management.
The objective of the consultancy assignment is to;
The Consultant is to assist the Employer to Supervise the construction of the landfill facility.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include providing Supervision Services for the the landfill facility, at Ayidan in the Ga South Municipality. It is estimated that about 89 professional man-months would be required. The Implementation period is 18 months and the assignment is expected to start in August, 2024.

The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
The shortlisting criteria are:
a. at least 15 years’ experience in municipal engineering services,
b. 10 years’ experience in solid waste sectors,
c. experience in preparation of detailed designs and supervision of construction for landfills or tailings storage facility,
d. experience in cost estimates, contract administration and project implementation schedules,
e. at least 3 similar projects in developing countries context.
Key Experts will not be evaluated at the shortlisting stage.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality Cost Based Selection (QCBS) Method set out in the Procurement Regulations
