- 1. The Government of Ghana with funding from the International Development Association (IDA) and USAID is implementing the Ghana Commercial Agriculture Project (GCAP). The Management of GCAP intends to procure the services of a consultant to Develop Investment Profiles for 25 Grantees.
2. The objective of this Consultancy is to work with 25 grantees to develop quality investment profiles using the GCAP template to create a pitch book to attract capital or technical assistance into their companies.
SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT
The assignment will involve the development of company profiles with a focus on activities involving the nucleus farmer and its outgrowers to realise the objectives of this consultancy.
In order to achieve this objective the consultants will be required to:
a. Review the company’s’ business in relation to the description of the business and operations, the broad geographical locations of both nucleus and outgrowers, the key stakeholders of the business including management profile, competitors and existing linkages (both upstream and downstream activities in the value chain).
b. Identify the company’s current and existing capacity and the potential in the sector
c. Provide a SWOT analysis of the companies as an investment potential
d. detail any support mechanisms in place (government and financial) that the company is benefitting from
e. Provide general conclusions and recommendations and outline an action plan (short, medium and long term) for the promotion of the companies opportunities for the investor
3. The Ministry of Food and Agriculture now invites consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing the services described above
