- The Government of Ghana has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area Sanitation and Water Project (GAMA SWP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Improved Institutional Sanitation and Water Supply Facilities in Selected Institutions in the La Nkwantanang- Madina Municipality.
The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA) acting through the Project Coordinating Unit (PCU) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction and Rehabilitation of toilets in selected institutions, included with provision of hand washing, water and waste storage facilities, and facilities for physically challenged and for menstrual hygiene.
• Construction of 1No. 2-Storey 24-seater pour flush toilet with urinals, girls changing rooms and hand washing facilities at La Nkwantanang Cluster
• Construction of 2No. 12-seater pour flush toilet with urinals, girls changing rooms and hand washing facilities at La Nkwantanang Cluster
• Rehabilitation of existing 12-seater WC toilet and 3No. 1-seater WC toilets at La Nkwantanang Cluster
• Construction of 2No. 5-seater pour flush toilet with urinals, girls changing rooms and hand washing facilities at Umar Bun Hatab Basic School
• Construction of high and ground levels tank platform including supply and installation of UPVC water storage tanks and surface pumps.
• Water connection to GWCL Mains
• Construction of waste storage and collection shed including supply of Solid Waste Collection Bins
• Construction of 1No. 10-seater pour flush toilet with urinals, girls changing rooms and hand washing facilities for girls and female teachers at Baba Yara JHS
• Rehabilitation of 6-seater WC toilet for boys and male teachers at Baba Yara JHS
• Construction of 2No. 6-seater pour flush toilet with urinals, girls changing rooms and hand washing facilities at Queen of Peace Basic
• Construction of 2No. 8-seater pour flush toilet with urinals, girls changing rooms and hand washing facilities at Baba Yara I,2 Primary & KG
