- The Government of Ghana has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area Sanitation and Water Project (GAMA SWP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract to undertake immediate intervention to alleviate the situation in flood prone areas where storm water poses a severe risk for environmental sanitation management within GAMA.
2. Tema Metropolitan Assembly now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction of Priority Drainage Intervention to Alleviate Flood Risk in TMA as follows:

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Guidelines,†Standard Bidding Documents for Small Works, April 2015, latest revision, October 2017â€, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from address 1 below and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours.
5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to Address 1 below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHS500.00) per lot. The method of payment will be by cash.
6. Bids must be delivered to the Addresses 2 below on or before 10.00 hours local time, October 5th, 2018. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at addresses 2 below on 10.30 hours local time on October 5th ,2018.
7. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security as indicated in Table 1 above and the Bid Security validity period shall be 140 days after bid/tender submission.
