Tender Name:: Design, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning of 12km, 161kV Overhead Transmission Line with OPGW

Tender Description:: The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has received funds from the European Union (EU) through Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and intends to use part of the funds thereof for payments under the contract for the Re-construction and Commissioning of the 161kV Transmission Line from Kumasi Bulk Supply Point (K1BSP) to Anwomaso Bulk Supply Point (K2BSP) in the Ashanti Region of Ghana as well as associated substation termination works.

Scope of Works

The Scope of Works involves the reconstruction of the existing 12km 161kV single circuit Mistletoe line between the Kumasi (K1BSP) and Anwomaso (K2BSP) Substations with a 161kV double circuit line using twin bundle Tern conductors on steel lattice towers. This shall include all relevant designs, procurement, installation/erection and pre-commissioning and commissioning of 161 kV Overhead Transmission Line as well as all associated surveys, engineering, civil works and relevant substation termination works.

The estimated period for the completion of the project is Twelve (12) months.

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the execution of the Works.

The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of AFD's Standard Bidding Documents for Procurement of Works.

Additional Information:: A Site visit and a Pre-Bid meeting will be organized by the Employer for prospective Bidders to familiarize themselves with the site conditions on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the Anwomaso Substation, Kumasi at 10:00hrs GMT.
