- The overall objective is to develop a Communication Strategy which incorporates both traditional and non-traditional communication tools whilst leveraging digital solutions to create awareness and opportunities including information disclosure in an inclusive manner. It is expected that the strategy incorporates a feedback and grievance redress mechanism on the project throughout the Project Preparatory Phase activities and during Project implementation and operation of the BRT service.
This Ministry seeks the services of a Consulting Firm to prepare the Communication Strategy for the KUMAP based on the requirements of the ESS 10 (i.e., stakeholder engagement and information disclosure).
- Additional Information:
- The Ministry expects the Consultancy Firm to demonstrate the following expertise:
• The Firm should have a multidisciplinary team with the required professional specialisation related to this assignment.
• Demonstrate prior experience in developing a Communication Strategy, ideally targeting informal sector/economy development context.
• Have a good understanding of urban mobility and accessibility issues in Ghana, especially within the informal sector.
• Have at least five (5) years of progressively advanced experience in strategic communications, public advocacy and media relations which must include development communications and advocacy strategies at the global, regional, or national level.
• Have the relevant experience in working with government and/or international organisations on consultancy assignments, especially in strategic communications planning.
• Have experience in producing good communication and advocacy materials for use by Ministries.
• Have excellent proven written and spoken English; and strong oral and written communication skills. Some knowledge of local language is an added advantage.
• Have experience working with local governance and decentralisation practices in Ghana.
